Elements

Chemistry tuition classes in Miracle Learning Centre is very useful. If you do not understand chemistry, you must definitely attend the chemistry tuition class at Miracle Learning Centre. Let us learn about elements in this chemistry tuition lesson.

Your chemistry tuition teacher at Miracle Learning Centre will teach you about elements in the periodic table. Element is a simple substance that cannot be further broken down by chemical reaction. The periodic table is divided into metals and non-metals. Metals are on the left-hand side of the periodic table. Non-metals are on the right-hand side of the periodic table. There is a dividing line, which is also known as "the staircase", which separates the metals and the non-metals. Group I metals are reactive alkali metals. Metals are generally grey in colour and exist as solids. Group VII are halogens. They are also non-metals. They generally exist as gases and liquids.

There are many uses for the elements in the periodic table. Common metals such as copper, Tin, and Aluminium are used for water pipes and tanks to prevent leakage due to corrosion, coating food cans, and to make aircraft body respectively. Common non-metals such as Sulfur, Hydrogen, and Carbon are used for making insecticides and medicinal drugs, rocket fuel, and pencil leads respectively.
The student at Miracle Learning Centre asked, " What is the colour and state of bromine and iodine at room temperature and pressure? " The chemistry tuition teacher at Miracle Learning Centre replied, " Bromine is a reddish brown liquid. Iodine is a non-metal. At room temperature and pressure, iodine is a black solid. However, when iodine is heated up, it becomes a violet paper."

Miracle Learning Centre hope you have understood the elements and how it helps you to answer chemistry tuition questions. Do come to Miracle Learning Centre for more chemistry tuition lessons to learn more about elements and chemistry.
